Whereas older styles of vertical blinds had cord controls on both sides of the blind, the modern ones are both on the same side so you can control the slide and swivel from the same place. This is a much more convenient improvement, saving a walk from one end of the blind to the other. Materials in the vertical blinds can be plain or textured and both have a range of colours and two different styles, block out or translucent.
