Super Sunscreen Roller Blinds

The seasons have gone full circle and once again we are back into the months of heat and humidity along with the problem of glare this time brings. Sunglasses outdoors are as much a must have as the good old sunscreen, long sleeves and hats. Everyone is seeking heat relief anywhere they can find it and air-conditioners are running flat out in homes. Unfortunately this all adds to the problem of global warming creating ongoing problems in the environment. Therefore we need to look for other solutions that will minimize our use of electricity and still provide a degree of comfort.

Outdoor sails over playgrounds and outdoor entertaining areas give needed shade and sun protection as well. They are becoming a standard item over most parking areas in large shopping centres and also many swimming pools. This is a good indication of how severe our summer sun has become, and the need to find solutions to cope with it. Tinted windows on vehicles help a little but air-conditioning is still needed for comfort when travelling unless you don’t mind travelling with all windows down. However this isn’t always practical where young children are concerned and often the air coming in is hot anyway. Where our homes are concerned we fortunately have a number of choices, and one of these is installing sun blinds.

The doors and windows of our homes are the obvious access areas for heat to enter and thus create discomfort. The suns heat is concentrated when it hits the glass panels of our windows and can drive the temperature up quite rapidly if there is no barrier to stop it. We are fortunate that manufacturers of window applications have kept up with technology and accepted the challenge to create products that will deal with environmental problems. Their sunscreen blinds is one of a range of roller blinds all of which deal with specific problems. The others are plain or textured block our blinds which block the sun and provide privacy plus translucent blinds that allow the light in but cannot be seen through, again a boon for privacy.

The sunscreen roller blind blocks out 90% of the damaging UV rays from the sun while still allowing you to keep your view as it is made from a see through fabric. It may sound odd but if you choose the darker shade you will find it easier to see through, and there are five shades to choose from. All blinds can be made to measure ensuring a perfect fit for your window opening and are made in Australia so you can be sure of a quality product.
